【STORY】

Tatsuo is reunited with his old friend Tetsuya at the graveside of a friend who died in junior high school, and he and Yui, a former co-worker at his part-time job, spend a few days during their summer vacation in a local country town. While staying at the dormitory of the ailing factory where Tatsuo’s father serves as president, they interact with Vietnamese trainees who work there and come to confront their own pasts.

Director: Kyuya Nakagawa

Born in Kyoto in 1979. Graduated from School of Visual Arts TOKYO. In addition to directing, he is also active as a recording engineer and producer.

He made his directorial debut with “Today’s Cat Situation” (2008), in which popular voice actress Aya Hirano provided the voice and sang the theme song. His 2019 short film “The Mantis Night,” which predicts the assassination of Shinzo Abe, won THE WORLD’S BEST SELF-FUNDED FILM at the Cine Pobre FIlm Festival in Chile, the Grand Prize at the Place M Film Festival, FIXION The film was also selected as one of the four best Asian short films at the Fantastic & Horror Festival.
