【STORY】
It’s all one-sided love. A cycle of love where you reject someone, get rejected, and then get tossed around. Asahi, a bar owner, is in love with Kazufumi, who is living with an older woman. Kazufumi deliberately tries to get his girlfriend, Hime, to reject him, but surprisingly, she readily accepts. In fact, Hime is also dependent on her sex friend, Joya. However, Joya brushes her off, pushing her away, saying, “This is just an adult relationship, right?” That night, Joya is confronted by Naru, the man he had a crush on since his school days. Believing it to be fate, he invites him out to dinner, but is easily rejected. To his surprise, the person Naru loves is Asahi! “I love you, even your flaws,” Nari confesses, and Asahi’s heart wavers, but what she desires is Kazushi’s body. “Do you like my body?” Kazushi asks, to which Asahi replies, “I love men. Your body is a part of you, isn’t it?” Her face changes depending on who she’s with, and her desires are revealed. The game of truth and pretense between men and women reveals five one-sided loves in one night.

Born February 9, 1962, in Tokyo.
After working as an assistant director for Morita Yoshimitsu and Negishi Kichitaro, he won the PFF Special Award for his 8mm independent film “Ships and Gets Stolen.” His 16mm film “Work on the Grass” won the Grand Prix at the Kobe International Independent Film Festival and was released in theaters at film festivals both in Japan and abroad. Since “Moon and Cabbage” in 1996, he has directed films such as “First Love,” “Showa Pop Song Collection,” “I Need to Take a Deep Breath,” “Take the Subway,” “Mountain Cherry Blossoms,” “The Ogawa Incident,” and “Orion in Midsummer.” He won the Japan Academy Award for Great Director for “Flower and Sword .”
